About This Image
This exceptionally large (the size of Fenton's plates) English image is quite lyrical with its two children (Fenton's daughters?) playing by the water's edge of a lazy stream. A wooden bridge and a dirt road into treed area, which is lined by a rustic wooden rail fence (virtually identical to a fence appearing in other Fenton images), add to this beautiful country scene. See: Schaaf, Taylor and Kraus, Sun Pictures, Catalogue 14, Roger Fenton: A Family Collection, pl.12 for a view with a similar fence in it.
Shipping and insurance costs will be added to the price and must be paid for by the buyer. Pennsylvania buyers must pay appropriate local sales tax. International clients are responsible for their VAT and other custom's oriented charges.
