About This Image
With Standard Oil stamps on the verso. The Standard Oil project, run by former FSA head and photographer Roy Stryker, was the largest private photography documentation project in the U.S. It became an important part of photography history. Corsini was one of Stryker's key photographers on this massive project. A member of the New York Photo League and part of the famed FSA project, Corsini was an unlikely choice for a rich corporation such as Standard Oil, but he wound up working for Stryker longer than any other photographer on this project. Provenance: Estate of Arthur Goldsmith, Editorial Director of Ziff-Davis Publication's photography magazines, including Popular Photography.
