Ufa credit in pencil on verso. From the 1933 film, Remous.Jeanne Boitel was born on January 4, 1904 in Paris, Ile-de-France, France as Jeanne Marie Andrée Boitel. She was an actress, known mainly for her work in the 1930s, but again for Inspector Maigret (1958), Napoleon (1955) and Royal Affairs in Versailles (1954). She was married to Jacques Jaujard. She died on August 7, 1987 in Paris. For taking part in acts of resistance against the occupying German forces during the war, she was awarded the 'Croix de Guerre', 'Rosette de la Résistance' and received the 'Legion d'Honneur'.
