Leon Marais was a Paris photographer who was active from the mid-1850s to the beginning of the 1880s. He had several studio locations, and his is listed in Voignier. Comes with a copy of an old lithograph that identifies the photographer.
Adolphe-Victor Geoffroy-Dechaume was a sculptor and goldsmith, who was noted for his death masks. Beranger (Paris, 1780-Paris, 1857) was a poet and songwriter, and this mask is now in the collection of the Louvre.
