David E. Scherman (1916-1997) was an American photojournalist and editor. He was born in Manhattan, grew up in New Rochelle and graduated from Dartmouth College in 1936. He was on the staff of LIFE Magazine and often teamed up with Conde Nast photographer Lee Miller. A photograph of Miller in Adolf Hitler's bathtub in his Munich apartment is one of the more famous shots from this partnership. LIFE Magazine stamp on verso. LIFE Set # 32535
