This image by Felix Nadar is printed from the original glass negative plate by Paul Nadar, his son. It is signed, stamped and captioned on the verso. An important piece of documentation of an important image by one of the masters of early photography.Théodore Faullain de Banville (March 14, 1823–March 15, 1891) was a French poet and writer. In 1858 he was decorated with the Legion of Honour, and was promoted to be an officer of the order in 1886. He died in Paris in 1891 at the age of 68, and was buried in Montparnasse Cemetery. A street is named after him in Paris.
