He served in the U.S. Army Counter Intelligence Corp in Germany.He married his wife Jeri Sulllivan on January 23, 1960 and they settled in Wisconsin to raise their family.Engh operated his stock photography business, Photo Source International, since 1966 from a 80-acre farm in western Wisconsin. He was the author of "Sell & ReSell Your Photos", considered the premiere desktop guide on marketing principles for the stock photographer. His photographs and features about his work appeared in such publications as TIME magazine, Changing Times, USA Today, MONEY magazine, Popular Photography, The Rangefinder and others.Engh passed away on August 4, 2014 at the VA Medical Center in Minneapolis, at the age of 84. He died of a sudden infection, which caused severe pneumonia and complications. His family was by his side.
