Le Secq, Chartres. 1852") reversed out of the negative in the lower left.A very rare and important print (perhaps only one or two known as a salt print) for Le Secq's early work. Most such prints are in institutions. Very few are in private hands.See: Janis and Sartre, Henri Le Secq Photographie de 1850 a 1860, pl.270, p.137 (the copies there in printed Panotype, not salt prints).Provenance: Family of the photographer, Henri Le Secq.
