About This Image
Stamped with the photographer's name and "Station Viticole" on the recto of the mount. Isard, also known as Izard had his studio in Montpellier (Herault) on rue de la Blanquerie and at rue Saint Guilhem 44 and rue de Valfere 42 from the end of the 1870s through about 1887. Three of the images in this series are dated 1880 (others similar but undated), and there are titles in period ink on the recto of the mount. Quite a rare series. Images include a heliograph and samples of vines and grafted roots of different types.
